Tecan Freedom Evo (Liquid Handling Robot)

The Tecan Freedom Evo is a liquid handling robot capable of moving objects with one arm and pipetting 96 wells with the MCA. This liquid handling robot solution is set up to do two consecutive DNA extractions at the same time. Cost per 96 sample extraction.

Open Array qPCR

The QuantStudio 12K Flex system is a qPCR machine with three interchangeable blocks. This allows the machine to do 96 well, 384 well and Open Array qPCR reactions all on the same machine. This also includes a liquid handling robot (AccuFill) for loading the Open Array chips. qPCR cost per machine use (doesn’t include consumables).

S5 Ion Torrent (ThermoFisher) NGS machine

The Ion Torrent NGS system is a sequencing machine that is able to make base pair reads based on fluctuations in pH. The Ion Torrent system is capable of sequencing long 400-600bp amplicon fragments. The S5 also comes with a liquid handling robot system and the chips can read from 1-130 M bp reads depending on the system/chips. Next Gen Sequencing (Ion Torrent) per chip (400bp) (~17M reads).
